16644: Waterman pencil: black hard rubber with 18K gold filled "Sheraton" pattern overlay, with an early and noteworthy left-handed mechanism; 13.1 cm long, simple "WATERMAN'S" imprints, name engraved in barrel cartouche. Mechanically perfect, externally similar to the earliest Waterman pencils introduced in 1922 but lead can be advanced by turning either the nose cone or the knob at the top of the barrel, which is attached to the interior mechanism.
