Plated nib, could be replaced with an older dip nib or quill slip for better historical effect. There is no real feed system, so best considered a dip pen rather than a modern fountain pen (the pen was described by the Jefferson Foundation as a dip pen). Original pens of this type are extremely rare and sell for thousands of dollars.
